The NRT Nationwide Summit focusing on Transformative Connections in Marine and Coastal Areas occurred in November and December 2020.
The Summit was successful in:
- establishing a network and creating new synergies among NRT marine-focused programs.
- sharing examples of successful forward-looking transdisciplinary research/education linking coupled natural-human dimensions, data science, and analysis.
- fostering career development with an emphasis on networking.
- allowing us to participate in a comfortable and safe space to talk about challenges and opportunities.
- Understanding and articulating what we are doing in transdisciplinary marine sciences to inform NSF, professionals, and academic administrators.
